Fight or Flight

Life can be complicated it, it can be messy and we all know when it's good, it's really good!


My question to you is how do you handle with those crazy times? How do you handle high anxiety situations or obstacles in life that feel like they are impossible to overcome. What is your way to cope through the periods of your life when you feel like you are in the deep end of the pool, treading water and trying not to sink?


Do you fight & try not to let it get the best of you by seeking outlets such as breathing through those high anxiety moments, turning to those you can count on the most to talk it out, seeking guidance, exercise, meditation, or journaling? Or are you one to take flight, feeling defeated & spiraling down a path of pulling away from family & friends, staying up late allowing worry to consume you, eating your feelings and making excuses for some of those bad habits we develop to make us feel better during our days of darkness?


I would have to say I am guilty of the later, however after a day of wallowing in my sorrows or state of anxiety, I give myself a pep talk & say "Stefanie, you got this. You can only focus on what is in your control". Sometimes we need to stop and recognize when we are self sabotaging. For the month of February let's set a goal of more self-love. We are worthy of love & we are love. Let's come together to remind ourselves of that- everyday!
